250 South Jakarta Residents Attend International Culinary Training

Some 250 South Jakarta residents, participated in international culinary training initiated by the South Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Sub-agency (Nakertransgi).

South Jakarta Nakertransgi Sub-agency Head, Fidiyah Rokhim said the training was aimed at enabling residents to improve their abilities to open businesses independently or create jobs.

"Currently, from July 29 to August 2, 2024, international culinary training is still ongoing for batch V or the final batch," she expressed, Tuesday (7/30).

Hampers Training in W. Jakarta Attended by 190 People

She explained it was held on July 15 and participated by 50 people in each class. They were taught to make delicious and attractive food dishes and given appreciation gifts in cooking equipment.

"So, all participants who take part in culinary training such as making dim sum mentai, bento, kimbab, and chicken katsu, we provide cooking equipment afterward to support their business," she explained.

Training, Placement, Productivity and Transmigration (P3T) Section Head, Erning Kumala Dewi hoped that the training would be able to create new businesses or jobs for the community.

"I also hope that after completing all the training, participants can share their knowledge with other residents to reduce unemployment rates," she uttered.

The training received appreciation from Asti (34). She said, the requirements to participate in the training were only to fill out a form, bring an ID card, and come to the designated training location.

"Thank you and very happy of course, the training is free, the knowledge is useful and I got good cooking equipment too," she stated.
